Thornton Township Supervisor, Frank M. Zuccarelli is calling out to all seventeen municipalities that encompass Thornton Township to raise money and awareness for the high number of homeless and disabled Veterans in Cook County. His plight to save our Veterans, who once put their lives on the line for our country, will require financial support from the community! All donated funds will be distributed to disabled and homeless Veterans in the Thornton Township area. Thornton Township's annual Veteran's Day ceremony will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009 at 11 am. This highly anticipated and much needed event will be held at the Thornton Township Town Hall located at 333 East 162nd Street in South Holland, IL. This year's traditional laying of the wreath ceremony will honor Veteran's of all wars.

Frank M. Zuccarelli who served in the U.S. Air Force is reaching out to men and women of Thornton Township, especially those who've served in the armed forces to come out, pledge donations and get on the front-line to give a special salute to our Veterans. All proceeds from this event will directly benefit homeless and disabled Veterans in Thornton Township. There are more homeless Vietnam Veterans than any other war and with the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan; Veterans are increasing in numbers every day! It's important that we help! To pledge your support, call 708-596-6040.
