THORNTON TOWNSHIP FIGHTS THE WAR ON HUNGER STARTING WITH A HUGE FOOD GIVEAWAY DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON!

South Holland, IL.

Thornton Township Supervisor Frank M. Zuccarelli and Human Relations Commission will host their annual food giveaway, giving away 2,000 nutrition filled food boxes to local families in need. This two-day event will be held from 10am until 3pm on Wednesday, December 16th and Thursday the 17th at Thornton Township Hall 333 East 162nd Street in South Holland, IL. Supervisor Frank M. Zuccarelli states, "With millions of children in the U.S. living in poverty, I feel a special need to fight hunger right here in Thornton Township." Frank Zuccarelli hopes to ease the financial burden for local families during this holiday season. That's why the annual food giveaway is the cornerstone to other much-needed events hosted by Thornton Township. Township officials worked hard with the help of volunteers to make this event a reality for 2,000 families just in the "nick" of time!

Supervisor Frank M. Zuccarelli desires that every family have food on their table, every day and especially during the holidays! Malnourishment opens the door to other illnesses , especially during the winter months. That's one of the many reasons Frank M. Zuccarelli continues to provide a social service safety net to all seventee municipalities that encompass Thornton Township. For more information, call (708) 596-6040.
