Thornton Township Supervisor Tiffany A. Henyard is proud to announce the Thornton Township Cares Scholarship. It provides a unique opportunity for at-risk youth to achieve their academic and personal goals. By supporting young people aged 16 to 24 who may face financial, social, or barriers education, the scholarship aims to promote access to experiences that can help them succeed.
As a non-discriminatory program, the scholarship welcomes applications from all young people within Thorn-ton Township, regardless of their race, gender, religion, or socio-economic background. Applicants may use the scholarship funds to pursue a wide range of educational opportunities, including summer camps, STEM pro-grams, trade schools, and college expenses.
The scholarship is named after Tiffany A. Henyard, the current Thornton Township Supervisor, who is widely recognized for her leadership and commitment to empowering young people. By providing financial assistance to those in need, the scholarship honors Ms. Henyard’s legacy of service to the community.
The scholarship amount is up to $2000, which will be paid directly to the recipient’s chosen accredited educational institution or training program. The scholarship must be used by June 3rd and recipients are encouraged to share their educational journey with the Thornton Township community through outreach events and social media.
