Senior Transportation
Thornton Township Senior Transportation offers a crucial service to individuals aged 60 and above, providing them with convenient curb-to-curb transportation throughout the township. This service operates Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
In 2023, Supervisor Tiffany A. Henyard and the Board of Trustees significantly enhanced the program. It now offers seniors the flexibility to travel anywhere within the township. This expansion allows seniors to purchase groceries, engage in shopping activities, and attend vital medical appointments, including dialysis. Annually, the department facilitates over 40,000 rides for seniors residing in Thornton Township.

Ride appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Seniors are encouraged to plan ahead and secure their rides by reaching out to us at 708-596-6040 Ext. 4011 or 708-339-9980 for booking purposes. A $1 donation is suggested for rides.
