Located at 15340 Page Avenue in Harvey, the Thornton Township Food Assistance Center provides curbside food box pickup every Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Center also serves as the distribution hub for our Senior Food Delivery Program. Each week, Thornton Township distributes over 1,000 nutritious food boxes, totaling nearly 50,000 meals annually for individuals and families in need.

Empowering Our Community
Many food assistance recipients actively volunteer at the Center, helping to serve fellow residents while gaining valuable experience. Volunteers develop organizational and transferable job skills, earn food safety and sanitation certifications, and obtain OSHA credentials—all while making a meaningful contribution to the Thornton Township community.
