Notices were mailed from the Cook County Assessors Office last year regarding the 2020 Reassessment which will affect your 2nd Installment Property Tax Bill payable in 2021. This notice provided you with information, such as, property characteristics, past and proposed assessed value on your property and noted the deadline date for the filing of an appeal. Keep in mind that the Cook County Assessor’s Office is now accepting appeals for Thornton Township with a DEADLINE DATE OF SEPTEMBER 9, 2021. You can file your appeal online: www.cookcountyassessor.com, by visiting your Thornton Township Assessor’s Office, 333 162nd Street, South Holland, Il, Monday thru Friday between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. (no appointment is required at this present time), or by attending one of our Property Tax Forums listed below. We are also conducting a pre-filing of appeals with the Board of review, or you may file online: www.cookcountyboardofreview.com , with our office or one of the listed locations. Deadline for the Board of Review has not been determined as of this date.
The Cook County Treasurers Office has calculated and mailed the 2020 – 2nd Installment Property Tax Bills with a payment DUE DATE OF OCTOBER 1, 2021. Tax bills are also online for viewing and downloading: www.cookcountytreasurer.com.
